Hosting Music is Revolution at the iconic Space Ibiza on Tuesday 20th September, the legendary DJ Carl Cox stepped up to the decks one last time where he held court for over 10 hours.

In true Cox-style the DJ played a mix of music that held the audience's attention from beginning to end with classic tunes, funky house and gritty techno. The gig marks his 15-year run and residency at the famous Ibiza club which closes it's doors permanently that the end of this summer season.

Using both vinyl and digital – the old with the new, Cox's mammoth set entertained for more than 10 hours. “At the start of my residency, of course I only played vinyl but now everything is digital and has been for some years. I wanted to take things back and pay homage to all those years at Space spinning records. I want to show respect to those older tunes, dig out some of my old vinyl and play them alongside new tunes. A lot of the crowd probably won’t have even heard them before, so it’s a way of showing the music is still relevant. I thought it was a fitting way to say goodbye.

I also want people to know I can still DJ with vinyl and make the house rock! This music has been my life and I want to share it one last time at Space.

Carl Cox will spin at the venue one final time at Space Ibiza’s final closing party on Sunday 2nd October, where he will take to the decks alongside other top DJs such as Maceo Plex, Tale Of Us, Eats Everything, Roger Sanchez, Sasha, David Morales, Josh Wink, Kölsch, Anja Schneider, Darius Syrossian and many more.
