Ibiza hot spots for summer 2019

What's the weather like in Ibiza in September?

Weather-wise, September is one of the most pleasant months to visit Ibiza! At this time of the year the island leaves behind the scorching hot days of summer and welcomes some slightly cooler temperatures. The days might be getting shorter, with sunrise getting closer to 08.00 and sunset receding to around 19.30 by the end of the month, but you can still expect plenty of sunshine and average temperatures of 24°C. Peak temperatures can still hit the high 20s and very little rain is usually predicted in September, so this is very much still a month of sun and warmth.

The Ibiza Jazz Festival (also known as Evissa Jazz Festival, after the Spanish) has proved to be one of the most enthralling events of the year, set in the majestic Dalt Vila and awing visitors with music and lights. Taking place every year, international musicians will descend to the island to perform in a series of concerts.

Closing parties kick off in September

As the summer season in Ibiza comes to a close, our favourite venues will pull out all the stops for a spectacular grand finale. A host of the beach clubs close down in September, with their epic closing parties the talk of the town. More continue to gradually close through October. The global brand Nikki Beach are renowned for their spectacular themed parties and the end of the season is no different with their glamorous Red Party, where guests are invited to savour a hypnotic mix of acrobatics, music and dance with exquisite culinary delights. Along with the Red theme, there is usually another more cultural theme to inspire dress codes.

Our other top picks for beach club closings that are not to be missed include:

  • Amante - Cala Llonga
  • Ayainna - Cala Nova
  • Ushuaia - Playa d'en Bossa
  • O Beach - San Antonio

Beachside yoga in September

As we get towards the end of an indulgent summer season full of dancing, partying, eating and drinking, take the time to reset and detox. What better way to hit the restart button than a spot of beachside yoga? Ibiza offers a wealth of stunning landscapes with breathtaking sceneries, making beachside yoga one of the most awe-inspiring actives to undertake. The island is famous for its unparalleled spiritual force, where visitors can reinvigorate their mind and body on its beautiful shores.

Join a session at one of the still open, but now far quieter, beach club venues, or take yourself down to your closest idyllic beach to practise in private. We recommend an early morning or sunrise session to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the sea with no interruption.
