Aguas Blancas Beach, North East Ibiza
Golden sands and a crowd-free beach on the north east coast of the island
Known to locals as Aigues Blanques, it's a narrow, golden sandy beach surrounded by high cliffs.
One of the two official nudist beachs on Ibiza, it has become popular with families, couples and local residents.
Despite its popularity, it retains a relaxed atmosphere and is often not over-crowded, even in high season. The sun goes behind the rocks by late afternoon, so make sure you come early to maximise the tanning.
Beach Bars & Beachclubs in Ibiza
There are a few small chiringuitos (beach bars) serving fresh fish and simple Mediterranean dishes.
Setting & Location
A lovely east coast beach set in a steep cove making access a little tricky for those with reduced mobility. However the setting of this long stretch of beach makes it worth the trip. Backed by cliff faces and lush pine forest it is a stunning and dramatic spot.
Water Safety & Clarity
The water here is quite shallow and calm, so great for swimming. There are however, no lifeguards on duty on this beach.
Beach Quality
The sand here is golden and perfect for sand castle building and laying down your towel. It stretches the length of this long beach, with some parts of it being occasionally cut off by rocks and a high tide.
Directions
Accessed only by car, follow the road from San Carlos to Cala San Vincente. The car park is located at the end of a road on the right which is sign posted to 'Aigues Blanques'.
From the parking on top of the cliff you follow the steep path down to the beach. Be warned - some of the parking is located down a rather steep hill...don't go too far down as you may never get back up.
