Cala Conta Beach & Bays, West Ibiza
Stunning views, turquoise waters on the west coast; perfect for watching the sunset
Cala Conta is made up of three sandy bays, all with stunningly clear azure waters to swim in.
This is one of the better known and most popular beaches on the west coast. Known mainly because it's home to the infamous Sunset Ashram.
There are umbrellas and sun loungers for hire. The views are fantastic too as this is the coastline right in front of the rocky islets, including Sa Conillera.
Beach Bars & Beachclubs in Ibiza
There are two restaurants up high and set back from the beach so when you are on the beach it's pretty peaceful.
At night this is a favourite spot for DJs to play, so at around 18:00 you will start to hear some beats coming from the venue that is known as Sunset Ashram.
Setting & Location
This open stretch of coastline is somewhat unusual as most beaches are in fairly sheltered coves. This one is open to the Mediterranean and has magnificent views over to the island of Sa Conillera.
The area is not at all built up so you have the pleasure of a beach backed by brush land, pine forests and rocky coastline.
Water Safety & Clarity
Crystal clear water with a mainly sandy seabed makes this a great spot for swimming. The rocky outcrops and coves make it also perfect for snorkelling. Lifeguards are on duty here in the busy summer months.
Beach Quality
There are several different bays along this stretch and they vary slightly between golden sand and rockier coves. The main beach is covered in golden sands with a rocky outcrop as a small headland.
