Calo des Moro Beach
Great beach in San Antonio for snorkelling and sunset views
Situated right at the north end of San Antonio’s iconic Sunset Strip this small sand and rock beach offers great facilities, good swimming and spectacular views.
This is certainly a beach where people gather, away from the masses on the main Sunset Strip, bringing dinner or drinks and congregating on the deck to picnic and watch the sun go down. With a mix of both sandy beach and rocky outcrops there is plenty to explore here. The beach offers good access to the water so swimming and snorkelling are both popular.
Beach Bars & Beachclubs in Ibiza
If you need shops, supermarkets or restaurants they’re all right there behind you. The Golden Buddha lounge and cocktail bar faces the beach as does funky little Bamboo with its shisha pipes and rush mat chairs.
Setting & Location
Continue north along San Antonio's Sunset Strip and you will reach Calo des Moro, a sandy, rather than rocky beach that sits in front of the Golden Buddha restaurant. The beach has decking behind it to cover any rocks and add to the sunbathing area.
Water Safety & Clarity
A lifeguard is on duty from mid-morning until late afternoon daily, although the exact hours change throughout the summer season and there’s never anyone on past 19:00.
There is a good snorkelling area; sharp rocky shelves line the coast in both directions away from this beach, but here there is a clear sandy entrance to the sea and two well marked swimming areas between the boating channels.
One of those swimming areas is massive, Olympic swimming pool sized, and runs along the rocks to the north of the beach.
Watersports Nearby
The usual array of watersports are available from the guys camped out in the rocks, they have pedal boats, kayaks, banana boats, wakeboards and also organise boats tours some of which can be done at sunset. There are showers and toilets available, wooden ramp access to the beach and limited parking available along the street and just back from the beach.
