Puerto de San Miguel Beach
Great family beach on the north west coast with lots on offer
Just 5km north of the lovely traditional fishing village of San Miguel is the beach resort favoured by UK and German holiday makers, in particular families with children.
The beach is naturally beautiful with white sand and turquoise waters, however, years of overdevelopment has meant large hotel blocks nestle in between the surrounding pine trees.
There are lots of restaurants and bars, with watersports also on offer.
Setting & Location
Nestled on the north east coast of the island this sheltered bay has become a popular tourist sport.
There are several large villa and spa properties nearby which are exclusive and well hidden in the forests or on top of the sea cliffs.
The port area itself is lively and offers plenty of entertainment for families.
The actual town of San Miguel is further inland and worth a visit if you're in the area.
Water Safety & Clarity
Lifeguards are on duty here during the busy summer months and the water is turquoise, clear and shallow.
This is a good beach for families with young children and there are plenty of watersports for all levels to enjoy.
Beach Quality
The beach here is soft, white sand, perfect for laying down your beach towel and beach games with the little ones.
