Punta Galera Bay, West Ibiza
Stunning rock platforms and cliffs on the west coast
This is a unique place on the island as it's technically not a beach, but it is the perfect spot for sunbathing.
Punta Galera is a formation of flat rocks sticking out over the sea, providing multi-layered sun bathing platforms and isolated tranquillity.
Not many people wish to brave the tricky walk, nor spend a day without the comfort of a sun lounger. However, if you bring a picnic, plenty of water and want something different with dramatic surroundings and not a hint of tourism, then Punta Galera is the place for you.
Beach Bars & Beachclubs in Ibiza
There seem to be several people who frequent the area with supplies of water and cans of juice if you're in desperate need of refreshment...but apart from that there are no beach clubs or restaurants.
Water Safety & Clarity
The water here is clear and filled with interesting plants, marine creatures and rock pools to explore.
There is no lifeguard on duty, so you swim and snorkel at your own risk.
Watersports Nearby
There are several trails that you can follow along the coastline if you fancy stretching your legs, this is a really lovely place to explore.
The bathing spot itself is quite small but because of all the rocks you can easy find a quiet area to relax and dangle your feet in the water.
Directions
Parking is an issue here, once you have made your way down the twisty road you will discover a place that fits only three or four cars...moped once again is the best bet for this location!
To reach the parking and the track, follow the signs to Cala Salada and then turn left at the white stone archway where you see the sign in graffiti-style.
