La Mola Hippie Market, Formentera

This is Formentera's main market, both in number of sellers and visitors. Celebrated in the central square of the town, there is usually live music, with its surroundings livened up by the terraces of neighbouring bars.

This market was born in the 1960s of the private initiative of a group of hippie artists and craftspeople, who nowadays fight to maintain the same initial concept: to show, sell and promote local crafts.

You can find authentic pieces of art and great hand-crafted souvenirs of the island. Wednesdays and Sundays from 16:30 to 22:30, from May to the end of October.
