Ibiza Fiestas, Festivals & Fairs

Most of the local fiestas are agricultural, historical or artisanal in nature and are well worth a visit as a part of your holiday while the nightclub residencies, beach club parties and music festivals are just an unmissable part of any visit to the White Isle.

We have listed some of the bigger annual events here. Festival programmes tend to be released about a week before the event and nightclubs usually announce their summer residencies throughout the winter and into the spring. 17 January Festival of Sant Antoni, throughout Ibiza - celebrations run from January into February, and include the favourite Flower Power Fiesta and the blessing of pets for this patron saint of animals

12 February Festival of Santa Eulalia, Santa Eulalia - celebrating the patron saint of this beautiful seaside town.

19 March San Jose Patron Saint Day - celebrated across Ibiza - Flower power and fire runs!
20 March Semana Santa, Holy Week all across Ibiza - Traditional Easter celebrations

Early May Fiesta de Maig, Santa Eulalia - celebrating the arrival Spring in true Ibiza fashion
Mid-May Medieval Festival Ibiza, Ibiza Town - 4 days of festivities, taking you back in time to the days of Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs and Christians. Exact dates vary each year, but are usually the first or second weekend in May

June
23 June Noche de San Juan, all across Ibiza - a wild night of parties, fireworks and bonfires to celebrate the even of John the Baptist
24 June Fiesta de San Juan, throughout Ibiza - to celebrate John the Baptist and the summer solstice

July
10 July Fiestas de San Cristobal, Es Cana
16 July Nuestra Señora del Carmen - Patron Saint of all fishermen, this is a holiday in Ibiza Town, San Antonio and the neighbouring island of Formentera.

August
8 August Saint Ciriac Festivities, Ibiza Town - feast day to celebrate the patron saint of Ibiza, and mark the day the Catalans rid Ibiza of the Arabs in the early 13th century.
24 August Dia de Sant Bartolomeu, San Antonio - traditional food and dancing, kite flying, a walk to the Holy Cave and a swimming competition.
