Worth knowing

Vara de Rey
The prestigious avenue of Vara de Rey can be found in Ibiza Town. Since it was pedestrianised in 2016, the avenue has enjoyed great popularity, with many people passing to explore the area’s great number of boutiques and stores. Lined with a lovely selection of restaurants and cafés, a well-deserved break can be enjoyed in the square after a busy day of shopping, bags at foot. Take a seat on the terrace of Cafe Montesol, or on the rooftop bar - here there's something to be enjoyed at any time of day, from breakfast to tapas, coffee or a cocktail. Sit back, relax and watch the world go by.
Ibiza Port
If you seek a more vibrant setting, head to the port of Ibiza, which really comes alive on a warm summer’s night. This is a popular spot for pre-party revellers, as residents and holidaymakers flock to enjoy cocktails and ice cream in the midst of music and chatter. Home to a plethora of shops, bars and street vendors, the port’s strip offers a lively atmosphere. At one of its most famous venues, The Original Rock Bar, animated characters come together, recounting fascinating tales of adventures in Ibiza.
San Jose
Nestled in lush surroundings, San Jose is a sleepy village which has retained its traditional Ibizan charm. With a great choice of good quality restaurants and cafés, terraces provide an opportunity to soak in the town’s easy-going way of life. There is something utterly fascinating about watching the village residents reading their local newspaper or playing games of cards with friends, all whilst enjoying a well-made cup of coffee. None better than that of Raco Verd, whose patio is over 1000 years old and frequently hosts live music.
Talamanca
Boasting calm, turquoise waters, Talamanca is a beautiful bay and the closest beach to the bustling town of Ibiza. With beach clubs and restaurants peppered alongside its sandy shores, Talamanca is an excellent option for a restful day in the sun with lunch. Traditional Spanish cuisine is commonly served, offering delights such as calamari and grilled meats. Sa Punta is known for its delightful menu, serving delicious dishes to accompany the salty air. Here you can often spot locals on their daily run along the wooden bay of Talamanca or couples walking their beloved canine companions.
Es Cubells
With panoramic views across the Mediterranean Sea, nowhere could be more sublime to watch the world go by than Es Cubells. Situated in the south of Ibiza, this quaint village is set within a mesmerising backdrop and is a place where locals meet socially for a light bite. With an intimate selection of restaurants and bars at the top of its clifftop, visitors can sit back and savour its tranquil ambience. Occasionally, groups of cyclists on a tour of the island will pass through the village, providing a welcome pause to daydreams of Ibiza.
