Ibiza welcomes titanic sailing yacht
The 'Maltese Falcon' is anchored in Ibiza Town
Ibiza Town's megayachts marina has received another famous visitor, one of the world's largest sailing yacht, the 'Maltese Falcon' at 88 metres in length.
The vessel was commissioned by American billionaire Tom Perkins and inspired by 19th-century clippers. In 2008 it was purchased by a chartering company and since then it has hosted celebrities like Tom Hanks, Hugh Jackman or Google co-founder Larry Page who have paid the 400,000$ per week it costs to charter this giant.
With three 15-metre high rotating masts, its stunning contemporary silhouette can be seen at Ibiza Town's marina. The marina's recently built megayachts berths can host yachts up to 185 metres long, perfect for luxury boats like this one.

You too can sail the Ibizan waters on a private yacht, even if it's not one of the largest in the world.
