What's the weather like in Ibiza in October?
October is one of our favourite months of the year in Ibiza. Average temperatures are around 20's during the day, which is great for outdoor enthusiasts who can make the most of the island's terrain in still enjoyable climates, whilst the temperatures start to drop back home. Meanwhile, it’s a particularly good time of year to swim, with sea water temperatures around 23 degrees, which sees beach clubs still welcoming guests during this month. The days are getting noticeably shorter in October, with sunrise creeping up to 08.15 and sunset around 19.00 (and don't forget the clocks go back!), but that still leaves plenty of time to get out and about. In the evenings it is starting to get quite cool so whilst you can still enjoy meals and drinks out in town, make sure you pack a jumper or a jacket.

Fiesta Payeas Es Cubells
For those that want to experience the much-loved traditions of Ibiza, fiestas provide the perfect opportunity. In a celebration of the patron saint of Es Cubells, local groups will perform during a fun-filled day on the middle Sunday of October. The festivities will be based around traditional country dancing, with plenty of good music and food to complement the event.
Halloween
Although the summer season officially draws to an end in October, don’t hang up your dancing shoes just yet, as the island’s party scene fabulously continues on this month. Halloween sees some of Ibiza’s popular venues hosting a handful of frighteningly good events. Everyone goes all out and you’ll see some excellently curated outfits, so don’t forget to leave space in your suitcase for the all important ghoulish attire.
Beach club closing parties continue
As the summer season in Ibiza comes to a close, our favourite venues will pull out all the stops for a spectacular grand finale. Whilst a host of the beach clubs have already closed down from September, some remain open into October making the most of the island's mild temperatures and bright autumn sunshine, and gradually close down throughout the month.
Some of our favourites include:
- Amante - Cala Llonga
- Ayainna - Cala Nova
- Ushuaia - Playa d'en Bossa
- O Beach - San Antonio
Nightclubs dance goodbye to summer
With tourists thinning out from October, the majority of nightclubs also start to close their doors at this time of year and visitors can enjoy a multitude of epic closing parties to finish the summer season in true Ibizan style. With spectacular shows and the biggest names in music headlining the celebrations, the island onces again prove itself as the number one clubbing destination in the world. Even those clubs that remain open during the winter months still hold a big bash to celebrate the end of the summer season.
Our top picks for nightclub closing parties that are not to be missed include:
- Hi Ibiza - Playa d’en Bossa
- Pacha - Ibiza Town
- Lio - Ibiza Town
- Ibiza Rocks - San Antonio
