Nikki Beach Restaurant Review
The newest beach club from the International brand, Nikki Beach
Set on the Mediterranean on the eastern coast of Ibiza close to the town of Santa Eulalia, the newest addition to the global Nikki Beach family is open for business.
We decided to take advantage of their opening day to see what all the fuss was about and check out the beach club...and the lunch menu.
And we were not disappointed! Situated at the end of a quiet road with a small private sandy beach the club is large, light, airy and very sophisticated. We were instantly welcomed by the friendly staff and shown around the club so that we could decide where to sit. With a range of various loungers and day beds on offer on the white sand it was hard not to lay down and fall asleep in the sun instantly! However, our stomachs were demanding we eat and so we opted for the less formal setting of the bar area. The bar is set in a wonderful round pavilion with the DJ booth holding court in the centre. As this was the opening day we were treated to some fantastic music from some of the Island's top DJs, plus live saxophone and electric violin. This created a wonderful atmosphere, with the music being loud enough to enjoy but so loud that we were antisocial.
The staff here are really in another league, smiling and friendly at every moment and constantly checking if you are comfortable or if you need anything. This was very much appreciated on a hot day once I decided that I'd had enough sun and wanted some shade...
And so to the food - the menu reflects the creative and sophisticated vibe of the beach club and offers a variety of meals from sushi to burgers and salads to seafood. Our eyes may well have been bigger than our bellies as we started with a Mezz & Dips platter to share. Advertised for two people, I rather think it would serve an entire family! It was fantastic. Pitta bread, toast and crudities along with babaganoush, beetroot & cream cheese, carrot & red pepper, humus, tomato salsa and cucumber & mint dips. We barely touched the surface of them as we devoured as much as we could. This was the perfect starter to any meal on a hot, sunny day by the beach.
We took a bit of a break before the main courses came out, enjoying the musical entertainment and taking a walk down to sea and the small outcrop of rocks in the sea. When we were ready the staff brought out our caesar salad and pulled pork burger - both were delicious. My salad was fresh and tasty but hearty at the same time and I actually struggled to finish it...although that could have been due to my overindulgence with the starter! My friend polished off his pulled pork burger with a smile on his face. The sweet potato fries made a nice change to the normal potato chips and the pork was succulent and incredibly tasty with cheese infused through it.
The service here is second to none and regardless of what you are here for; to eat, to drink or to enjoy the pool and sunshine, then you are guaranteed to have a very special day. Prices here are fairly similar to other beach clubs on the island so it certainly felt like value for money considering the great time we had there. We look forward to being back for one of their wonderful weekly events that they host throughout the summer!
